TaKeEn Omakase, located in Old Klang Road, KL is furnished with custom made boards made from Phyllostachys Eedulis bamboo and natural stone materials, creating earthy and minimalist tones in various textures. With nearly 20 years’ experience in Japanese cuisine and restaurant management, Chef Thomas has served in top restaurants of Japan, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Malaysia, carving a name for remarkable gastronomic innovation and passion in Japanese cuisine. From appetisers to boiled, steamed, roasted, fried, nabemono, soup, rice or noodle dishes, Chef Thomas is multi-skilled in crafting yet innovating a wide range of Japanese offerings.

His culinary style brings together artistry and creativity, infusing complex possibilities yet retaining the essence of simplicity in every dish. He has a keen eye for aesthetics in food, making use of plating design and presentation aspects such as colour, taste, aroma and artistry to create multi-sensory indulgence.

What is Kappo Omakase?

"Kappo" means "cut and cook" in Japanese, and "Omakase" means "let the chef to decide." Kappo Omakase is a multi-course meal specially prepared by the chef, based on the best available ingredients of the day. More than 90% of the dishes served at TaKeEn Omakase are cooked cuisine.

What is the Dining Duration

The entire dining experience at TaKeEn Omakase will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Is the seafood from Japan?

We offer a wide selection of internationally sourced seafood, including premium options from Europe. Our offerings aren't limited to Japanese air-flown seafood.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can accommodate special dietary requests, but minimum 2 days advance reservation are required for this service.

What is your corkage policy?

Corkage at TaKeEn is priced at RM60 per bottle.

What payment method do you accept?

Payment methods accepted at TaKeEn include cash, credit card, and e-wallet payments.
